DESTINATIONS
While these featured countries are currently our major destinations
we can organise tours to anywhere that you wish.
AUSTRALIA
Australia is a top
travel destination with marvelous and diverse things
to see and do.
Australians are fanatical about their sport and school
sport is of a very high standard. Fixtures can be
arranges in all major cities. Depending on the duration
of the tour it is suggested that a tour target three
cities and includes a few days of leisure at a destination
like the 'Gold Coast'.
Travel and Accommodation
Qantas and many other
major airlines fly to Australia daily. Internal travel
by air is
generally recommended because of the distances but
luxury coaches can be arranged. Affordable hotel
accommodation is available, but billeting in private
homes or school boarding houses is the norm. |
SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa is a land
of contrast and beauty and the sport played in schools
is very competitive
and well organised. Tours can be arranges to the major
cities of Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban with
wonderful sightseeing opportunities. Although the vast
majority of travelers visit South Africa without incident
[especially on organised tours] the crime rate is high
in certain parts of the major cities. For this reason
our tours avoid these areas but still allow visitors
to see most of this fascinating and beautiful country
safely. Travelers are, however advised to take common
sense precautions.
Travel and Accommodation South
African Airways (SAA) and Qantas have regular flights
to Johannesburg
and Cape Town.
Flying time is 12 - 13 hours. Internal travel is
either by luxury coach or air. School tours usually
include
billeting in private homes, school boarding houses
or facilities geared for school parties. Affordable
hotel Accommodation can be arranges on request. |
UNITED KINGDOM
The UK is always a popular destination for tours. The
countryside is beautiful and the villages quaint. You
can explore spooky castles, visit ancient towns or shop
in some of the most sophisticated malls in the world. The
museums are among some of the best and diverse in the
world. You can visit the Tower of London or The Manchester
United Football Club Museum. After your tour is over
you may want to take advantage of your proximity to Europe
and organise a post tour trip to one of Europe's culture
rich countries.
Travel and Accommodation
Many international carriers fly from Australia to Europe.
It is a long journey (approx. 20 hours) and always needs
a stopover. It is possible to organise matches at some
of the stopovers. Jet lag can be a problem but it usually
resolves within a couple of days. |
NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand is a great place to visit.
The landscape is awesome, think of Lord of The Rings,
and the people
are known for their friendliness. They also love their
sport and are always keen competitors. The country is quite
compact which makes it easy to travel around and see as
much as possible. The climate is mild, which makes sightseeing
very enjoyable. It is the adventure capital of the world
so this is your chance to try all those wonderful outdoor
activities like whitewater rafting, bungee jumping
or canyoning.
Travel and Accommodation
There are frequent fights from all Australian state
capitals to New Zealand. Travel within the North or South
Island is by coach, however we suggest flying between Wellington
and Christchurch to assist with time constraints. |
SOUTH EAST ASIA
South East Asia is an ideal destination, particularly for a short tour or as a first overseas venture. It is geographically close, but offers great cultural diversity. There is a large ex-patriot population and we use the international schools that are established in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok. These schools are always very keen to host visiting teams and either as a tour or as a stop over en route elsewhere. The best time to visit is September or January.
Sports played include: Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Netball & Rugby. Hockey can be organised but is not a popular sport.
Travel and Accommodation
There are a variety of carriers who fly to South East Asia and thus prices are competitive. Many of the schools have connections with hotels which offer reasonable rates.
